He went to work and found out that one of his co-workers and close Christian friends had been involved in a car accident with his wife and two kids, he and his kids survived while his wife did not. His name is Vic, please pray for his family right now as they try to figure out what just happened and find peace in knowing that their loved one is in Heaven and that they will one day see her there. Also for strength to persevere and keep their faith during this horrible loss they have just experienced.

Her boyfriend has broken her leg, knocked some of her teeth out, given her a concussion, raped her... and so on. She has scared us all with the crazy outbursts she has because of the drugs. She has called my elderly grandfather and I several times during the night to save her from people who are trying to kill her (hallucinations). This has gone on for the past five years. We have done everything we possibly can to try to help her, but nothing has worked. She is hurting everyone who loves her, including my children. They don't understand why she acts the way she does and why she avoids us. She used to care about them, and they loved having a grandparent. (My husband's mother has passed away, and neither of our fathers are in the picture, so she's the only one they have.) I have begged her to get her life straightened out, but she won't. Cancer Healing
Submitted by: Mike | I ask that you pray to God with all you have to heal my grandfather, Victor Lewis, from his cancer. Just as importantly, please pray that if God is trying to change someone(s) or wants something done in order for my grandfather to be healed, pray that it will be done -This sounds strange but it is important, please don't forget. He has terminal cancer in the bladder, which spread from the prostate. It also spread to the bones, a lung, and maybe in the brain. It is the bladder cancer that is the worst of it and that is what is terminal, although he also needs prayer for the other cancers and the stopping of it from spreading. He was on chemotherapy and radiation and if he was younger they would attempt a bladder surgery for the cancer.
I don't want to give up on him because of all the cancer or because of his age (85 years old). About 4 years ago he might have had serious heart problems because of a clogged artery but his heart made a way around it. If it was God's will to heal him at 81, I know it's possible for 85.
I also ask that you pray for us and the Christians I send this to, that the prayers for my grandpa won't be hindered by sin or anything else in someone's life. I am going to be sending this prayer request to several churches so there will be lots of Christians praying for him.

Ken Shelton's employee, Amy
Submitted by: Ken | Last week we had our gas meter hit and our phones were knocked out in the midst of trying to finish up the repairs on our building from the auto hitting our office in April.
This morning, I got to work and found out that Amy's best friend from childhood and her fiancé's sister(one in the same) Jennifer Felder was killed in a head on accident this Saturday in Amarillo. Amy has lost a close friend earlier this year to suicide, Josh her fiancé lost a close friend to an auto accident, and then this loss. Amy's mother was also diagnosed with Kidney Cancer earlier this year.
Please be praying for the Holy Spirit to comfort them through all of this and that they will see God's hand working in all of this.

We need help - AGAIN

It has been 2 weeks since I updated and God has done the impossible!! Not only does Len still live, he is awake and progressing. The Dr says the horrible pneumonia/bacteria that Len had a few months ago is back. As far as they are concerned it is primarily untreatable. I mentioned last time that Len had had some exploratory surgery on his abdomen. The Dr found a very swollen and non functioning liver, and a diseased gallbladder. This caused some jaundice and a back up of fluid in Len's stomache. The Dr said Len's liver would return to function if it shrank in size the largeness was also making it impossible to close his incision. I told the Dr I felt that God had healed Len's gallbladder, but if he wanted to take it out than go ahead. The liver shrank in size and when they went in to take out the gallbladder, it was perfect!! So they left it in!! I was given a confirmation of Len's complete healing last Sunday during Communion at church. The Holy Spirit impressed upon me to take communion for Len too. I began to pray and felt the Lord open my eyes of faith to see the "broken" body of Jesus take Len's place on that hospital bed!! I knew Len would be made whole. Today Len is on some pain medication, but almost no blood pressure medication, he is awake and in a good mood asking to get out of bed!! He will begin trial times off his ventilator again today or tomorrow. God IS!!!

Submitted by: shelly | Please pray for Chris. He is having another surgery Monday on his eye. After his accident 2 years ago he had his lense removed and replaced it with oil. Monday they are going to take the oil out and replace it with a gas bubble. To keep the gas bubble in place, he will have to lay face down for 7 days. Then he has to wait 6 months to make sure his retina does not detach again. If it doesn't, then they are going to put another lense in his eye. Hunter Wiggins

On the 23rd she'll have the cancer removed and possibly other lymphnode, it just depends on the size of the cancer after the doctor goes in. The mamogram and mri showed from one extreme to another, between little to huge, so it's a wait and see deal. Ruth has a positive outlook and is keeping her faith in God strong. Update on Scott Perkins brain tumor
Submitted by: Pastor Dave from Shelly | I just wanted to let everyone know about Scott's appointment today. Scott had his MRI yesterday and we already received the results back today. The cancer is non-enhancing (which is good) and it is responding to the chemotherapy. There were very SUBTLE changes, but good changes that it is slowly shrinking in mass. They said it may take quite some time, but they are confident that his current chemotherapy is a good medication for him. They're wanting to increase his dosage. The docs here are getting in touch with our Oklahoma docs to finalize his next dosage. He will still be doing 5 days of chemo per 28 days for at least the next year. We are happy with the results. As long as it stays the same or does not get worse, then we are happy. We will have to return to DC in three months for more testing. We're finished with his appointments here and are flying out tomorrow. Submitted by: shellycalvert | Megan's boyfriend Junior got good news from the doctor today. In my previous prayer request I asked that you pray for Jr. because he has some very serious heart problems. He has had doctors tell him there was a possiblity of a heart transplant because of the condition of his heart. Then last week they did several tests on him and told him he would probably get either a pace maker or a defibulator. Well, today when he went to the heart specialist who ran the test he told him there was nothing wrong except two leaky valves which is fairly common. He said that the severe pain in his chest and the loss of breath could be nothing more than anxiety attacks. There is still a concern because there is such a big difference of opinion between doctors. However, we have been praying for him .......And God is the Great Physician!

Prayer request from Africa

This week from the 25th - 28th Feb., we are moving to Kitgum in Northern Uganda which has been affected by war for the last 21 years. Virtually no work has been done in this area in the last 21 years, and we are going to train the pastors and cast the vision for church planting. We are expecting over 50 pastors to attend. After that, we will be moving to Sudan to a place called Ekoto to do the same training, from the 26th - 29th Feb. Then from the 1st - 7th March we are going to do an exploration work to the Ikoto area in Sudan and the Karamoja area in Uganda. These two areas are virgin lands were almost no mission work has been taking place. The people of these areas are warriors and everybody fears to go there. We are willing to take the risk to try and make contacts within this people group and lay the groundwork for future mission work in this area. The place is remote and the people are still primitive. There are no proper roads, no hotels, no restaurants. We are carrying our own camping equipment and food.

Pray for a family in Germany
Submitted by: Pastor Dave | My name is Steve Masslock; I live in Germany with my wife and 3 children. The Lord put into the hearts of my wife and myself a desire to become a Pastor. This happened 4 years ago. We have since been praying and trying to figure how we are to do this. But the Lord works with His own time schedule and sometimes our time is not yet come for what He is trying to prepare us for. We feel that we are moving in the right direction now. The desire in short form is to open a Christian bookstore here in Germany where people can come in browse through our books and sit down and read. We of course want people to buy the books, but sometimes that isn’t feasible due to financial situations. And the Gospel should be made available to everyone. We also want to have services on Sundays in the store, it would serve multiple purposes and all for the same goal; reaching souls. There is nothing here as far as I can find that resembles our idea. Most bookstores are just that with only a few Christ centered selections and you don’t dare try and read in the store.
